Equine Joint Support Formula Two

Equine Joint Support Formula Two is recommended for horses of all ages in high stress activities such as dressage, endurance, eventing, jumping, pacing and racing.  It is also highly recommended for horses that have existing osteoarthritic conditions or recovering from injury or surgery.

Equine Joint Support Formula contains Glucosamine sulphate,  a naturally occurring biomolecule and is co-crystalised: this ensures stability and bioavailability.  It als contains Chondroitin-4-sulphate, which is lower in molecular weight (small particle size) than chondroitin-6-sulphate, which is found in shark cartilage. 

On average shark cartilage contains less than 10% chondroitin-4-sulphate compared to our products which contain greater than 90% chondroitin-4-sulphate : a low molecular weight is essential for efficient absorption as well as being small enough to enter the joint capsule.

Both our Glucosamine sulphate and Chondroitin-4-sulphate are of the highest pharmaceutical standard available internationally and have been assayed for purity.

Joint Performance - Equine Joint Support Formula 1 and 2 are highly palatable: horses will eat readily resulting in no waste due to sifting etc.

Glucosamine is essential for the production of healthy cartilage and joint fluid.  Glucosamine sulphate (as found in Joint Performance – Equine Joint Support Formula 1 and 2) is considered more bioactive than the commonly used Glucosamine HCl.  Moreover, sulphate has been shown to mediate the effect of Glucosamine.

Chondroitin-4-sulphate is the major form of chondroitin found in young healthy joints.  It is one of the key components that gives cartilage its ability to absorb impact and resist wear.

Equine Joint Support Formula 2 is manufacturered using high grade co-crystallised glucosamine sulphate and low molecular weight chondroitin-4-sulphate.  The glucosamine is extracted from crustacean shells as glucosamine sulphate, considered to be a more bioactive form of glucosamine than glucosamine HCl. 

The chondroitin sulphate in Joint Support Formula 2 is bovine-sourced, & of a low molecular weight to ensure its bioavailability.

Directions for Use:

One level 25g scoop contains approximately 5g of Glucosamine and 1.5g of Chondroitin sulphate.

Initial Dose:  50g (2 scoops) per day, mixed with feed for 2 - 4 weeks.
Maintenance Dose:  25g (1 scoop) per day mixed with the feed.

Consult your veterinarian for additional dosage recommendations.  During times of heavy competition, training, injury or convalescence, up to 100g (4 scoops) may be administered per day.
