Recharge Liquid is a rehydration fluid for dehydrated horses
INDICTIONS: Fluid and electrolyte depletion due to strenuous exercise and sweat loss during training, racing, competition and transport in all performance horses.
RECOMMENDED FOR USE IN: Horses prior to, during and after travel Performance horses following sweat loss Rehydration after illness or diarrhoea 'Tucked-up' horses- showing signs of dehydration Poor drinkers
PRESENTATION: Concentrated solution 1L chamber measure & 5L cask pack
DOSAGE: Dosage rates are for a 450-500Kg horse. For ponies less than 350Kg offer half volumes. By oral syringe over tongue Made-up drink in water

Heavy work. Racing, jumping, dressage, polo, stock work | 80mL after exercise | 80mL in 4L of water |
Heavy sweat loss and dehydration in all horses, endurance, eventing | 80mL after exercise | 80mL in 4L of water |
SPECIAL DOSE RATES:
SEVERELY DEHYDRATED HORSES- 6-8 litres of made-up solution (40mL Recharge®/litre water) may be administered by stomach tube or as required, by a veterinary surgeon.
ENDURANCE EXERCISE-60-80mL can be administered by oral syringe over the tongue, during a ride or at checkpoints, providing water is available or offered immediately
TRAVELLING HORSES- Hot weather or long distances: 40-60mL over the tongue with water provided 30-60 minutes before travelling, repeat every 2-3 hours during travelling and again on arrival as required.
DIRECTIONS: Recharge® concentrated solution can be administered by oral syringe over the back of the tongue. Accompany with access to clean, fresh water to drink as required. Alternatively Recharge® can be diluted with water as directed. Again it is necessary to provide access to clean fresh water as well.

ELECTROLYTES ARE SALTS THAT PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN MAINTAINING FLUID AND ELECTROLYTE BALANCE, KIDNEY FUNCTION AND NORMAL NERVE AND MUSCLE ACTIVITY IN THE BODY. ELECTROLYTES ARE LOST FROM THE BODY EVERY DAY IN LARGE AMOUNTS THROUGH SWEAT.
A horse cools their body primarily through sweating. In many situations, the amount of sweat is not apparent due to evaporation. Horses may lose up to 10-15L of fluid per hour of exercise, and will continue to sweat during the cooling down phase. Heat, humidity and length of exercise will increase the amount of sweat. Horses in training are unlikely to be able to replace their body salts from their feed alone. Failure to replace the electrolytes and fluid lost during training results in muscle weakness, fatigue, a decrease in the desire to drink and ultimately delayed recovery.
THE NUTRIENTS IN RECHARGE° ARE SCIENTIFICALLY BALANCED FOR:
Rehydration Glucoses assists rapid electrolyte absroption, providing immediate fluid and and body salt replacement RAPID Recovery from training, travelling and performance. ENERGY REPLACEMENT the Sports drink for horses
2. RAPIDLY RESTORES ELECTROLYTE LEVELS AND STIMULATES FLUID INTAKE AND REHYDRATION
The maintenance of the fluid and electrolyte balance Is vital to maintain hydration, promote normal body function, provide efficient temperature regulation, heart and blood vessel stability and function; RECHARGE is formulated to provide rapid correction of the Se levels, in the performance horse.
3. VERSATILE ORAL REHYDRATION FLUID
Dehydrated horse horse reduce their sweat loss in order to preserve fluid. The gut reserve of fluid are reduced, which results in a tucked-up appearance. Dehydration leads to slower physical and heart rate recovery
4. CONTAINS GLUCOSE FOR ENERGY AND ABSORPTION
Recharge contains a balance of glucose and amino acid Glycine to enhance absorption of fluid and electrolytes by promoting active uptake of fluid from the intestine.
5. STIMULATES THE HORSE'S NATURAL THIRST MECHANISM
Direct dosing over the tongue stimulates the thirst response, encouraging the horse desire to drink.
6. CONCENTRATED LIQUID FORMULATION
Liquid formula allows for easy administration trough syringe or mixing with drinking water
